my “why”:
In my first role, I worked as the Nonprofit Coordinator, answering the phone at TGRC. I often joke with people, “You don’t have to answer the phone at a grief center for very long before you know why it’s such a gift for a community to have a grief center.” I spoke to people 10 years after the death of a daughter, the day after the death of a parent, and on the very day someone at their organization passed away. I felt honored and humbled to hear these stories, and incredibly grateful that those folks had somewhere to call, someone to listen, and resources to help them heal. I have a deep passion for work that provides stability and hope for those going through the unimaginable. There's something incredible about knowing TGRC is here for people, and that I get to help make that possible.
re-charging & delight-finding:
All of my energy flows through and comes from the natural world. I spend every spare moment hiking, running, or biking - breathing in this place and feeling so lucky to be here. And, in Montana's ever-long winter, I turn to creative pursuits - writing, knitting, and crafting - to "fill my cup", as they say.
